Xbox 360 New Dashboard

I rarely play Xbox, but I love their new dashboard that will be updated in just a few hours! This might actually make me even play it again.

A little bit about the dashboard it is a completely new design that is way more futuristic then it's previous, and it is all integrated with the Kinect, this means you can use your body and voice to find something on your Xbox or to play something too. The design is 1st off gorgeous and extremely sophisticated! It is categories with a clean light rollover, the pages are set up in a new box format to actually mimic the Windows phone and they have a ton of new features as well. Having Microsoft's search allows you to search through Xbox a lot faster than looking for it.

The main thing that Xbox is trying to introduce to their gamer's seems to be mainly social and video. On the categories list they seem to have Bing, Home, Social, Video, and then comes Games. The reason why they did this I really don't know, but I think it was an extremely good idea to do it this way. My reason is because there is a lot of gamers that don't just like to play games, they love television, music, trolling on social networks, all that good stuff!

Although this update didn't come with Hulu and YouTube yet it still seems to be damn near perfect! And the wait for the Hulu and YouTube isn't even that long of a wait it comes a week from today; so calm your boobies people it will be here shortly!

Awesome update! The Last of Us

I know like an hour ago I posted that video well it seems as if the ant video has a lot more to do with this then the riot video. I will also post the ant video on the last blog as well.

Ok we still don't have any information, but we do have a brain blast! The ant video in the other blog is actually a video about cordyceps which is a fungus that get's inside insects bodies and attacks them from the inside out. Well one cool/sucky thing about the cordyceps is that it has the ability of mind control, YES MIND CONTROL!!! Now what does that mean for this game who knows. Maybe it is about the human race become a victim of the fungi and slowly taking control over the human race.


Now the ant video isn't intense until you see this video here, I do advise you that it is kinda gross so man up buttercup!

PS Vita Memory Cards

In the beginning of the month Sony pissed off a lot of fans by saying that they were going to have their own memory card in the PS Vita. Well when gamers started to realize that they won't be able to buy extra memory cards to boost up their memory they got extremely upset, so Sony explained their reasons and I hugely agree with them!

They wanted every one to have a fair handheld, no one was really different. I understand that the main reason why they did this is because they wanted to limit their product. Not only that but when we heard that they are letting you take almost all your information from the PS3 they had to make sure that it was Sony copyright or it wouldn't probably run properly on the handheld. Since other memory card companies have different sizes and speeds they didn't want someones Vita run faster than the others because they some new type of card it. That wouldn't be fair to the other consumer that couldn't either afford another memory card or who couldn't get their hands on that type of hardware.

Since the previous PSPs were plagued with hacks and viruses, they are trying to limit that from happening, which is impossible. Another reason why gamers shouldn't bitch and moan is because patches, updates, game data, downloadable content, and many more will be available because the PS Vita card instead. So gamers it isn't all so bad, if your main issue is hacks don't worry that will be possible once again. I give a week of it's release before we find a way to get into the insides of the handheld.

Porn App for the PS3? Really?...Well it is Kinda Cool! Is this necessary?

Well yes, it kinda is. Many people have computers so they can access the internet and the naughty websites as well. It is sort of necessary for PS3 to have this app because we can't lie porn is a hugggee, no pun intended, industry in America. Now for the children that own PS3, need should have their parents censor their console regardless, but we all know that children/teens have wondering eyes and sweaty fingers ready for the clicking.

The name of the service is ... just look it up on Google if you really want to know about it. I am not going to disclose that information because, well, umm...oh what the hell?!? The name is SugarDVD and yes I have seen it and it is extremely sophisticated site that runs extremely smooth on the console. YouTube actually doesn't run that smoothly lol. Anyway I will not include the details of the app because I don't want any children out looking at the naughty naughty just yet.

Parents out there please understand what your children are playing, watching, and listening to. I know some parents don't care if they do certain things, but this is a app for ADULTS ONLY!!!!! Now if you just don't give a damn then go for it let them watch whatever they want, but for those who actually care and advise their child's console then either look at the site yourself and block it from the system. It is a simple block.

Remember kids ADULTS ONLY and if you don't care and want to rebel then fudge it!

The Last of Us

Now I really don't have much to say about this game, because there isn't much on it yet, but they have an extremely intense video. The video consist of various amounts of footage such as; riots and tragedies. Video Game Awards is just one week away and that is when the game will be debuted (hopefully).

If I had to take a guess of what the game could be about I would probably base it off the title by saying it is going to be another post-apocolyptic game. On their website, http://www.lastofus.com/ (Click the link if you would like to see the ant video),  it shows another video, but it's just an ant walking on a plant, meaning behind it all who knows. It has a date under the video as well dated 12/7/11. This could mean a ton of things, like another trailer, more info on the game, or even a brief idea of the game. So far the most information that is release about the game is that it is going to be a PS3 exclusive.

YOTG "Year of the Games"

Many people probably know that games have been making a killing this year by release after release, after rerelease! So why all this extreme rush of games for the holidays? What were all these competitors in the gaming industries thinking? Let's see if we could crack their brains shall we.

Let's start with shooters only top 3; Gears of War 3, Battlefield 3, and Modern Warfare 3. As you all can tell this is also the year of the "3". 

Epic Games created Gears of War 3 to end the extremely popular franchise, this was considered one of the most anticipated games of 2011. On the date of September 20th, 2011 shelves got rushed by loyal fans, hype beast, and people who wanted to see what all the hype was about. Cliff Bleszinski, design director of Epic Games, made this game to be the most bloody-gory games anticipated for years to come. By getting 5 out of 5s and 10 out of 10s before the game was even out to begin with was saying a lot for this huge blockbuster!

Continuing with Battlefield 3 and Modern Warfare 3, there is a reason why I put these two games together. One Call of Duty, Modern Warfare 3, franchise is considered the most selling shooter of all time, actually most selling piece of media of all time. Battlefield 3 on the other hand took a leap with intense graphics and gameplay. Using that sweet finish of Frostbite 2 made the game look like it exactly happening as a movie. These games are neck and neck with gameplay and fans. Money-wise MW3 is taking the title, but let's stay with gameplay shall we. MW3 has some of the best online community in gaming currently, although it isn't as smooth running for some of the loyal fans for the franchise it still gets them by. B3 kills it with their insane graphics staying true when playing online as well. The gameplay online is a little slower than MW3, but managing their own style is why I have so much respect for Electric Arts with B3. So who would win to you guys with stealing the title for Game of the Year?

A few superhero games followed the trend of releasing in Fall 2011. Batman: Arkham City and Spiderman: Edge of Time; just leave this short and sweet Batman awesome Spiderman not so much. Batman: Arkham Asylum was amazing and it's sequel was highly anticipated when announced pretty much after the 1st one was complete. Spiderman on the other was a complete joke! I personally haven't played it but the way it was going it didn't sound that cool in the 1st place. I don't want to get into all of that right now.


So overall not all games that were released were good. It was quite few bad seeds in this falls releasing of games. Keep playing my friends! 

Minecraft on iOS?!?

Have my dreams come true?


Yes they sure have, I can finally have Minecraft anywhere I go now...take that Xperia!!!! iOS 5 released Minecraft on November 17th. With a slightly steep price for a mobile device or iPad tablet, stepping at $6.99, it is actually a worth the price. If you Minecraft lovers played the beta and alpha then you would like the fact that you can have the complete version of the game for your iPhone and/or iPad.

The games release on the iOS platform was just in time for MineCon, a convention held in Las Vegas, Nevada for MineCraft lovers all around the world! Starting as a PC game that everyone instantly fell in love with, moving to a mobile platform, and is going to be released on Xbox Live Arcade quarter 1 of 2012. This is a huge step for developer company, Mojang.

Although, Android Market got Minecraft 1st, because of Xperia Play, this game would be completely compatible with iOS 4.3 or higher, so yes you can play this on any generation of iPhone and iPad. Many people that are using iPhones are extremely ecstatic for this release that happened a few days ago, including myself. Since it's release I have been draining my battery on my phone because of constant playing.

The game was all scripted with Java and ran beautifully on a PC, but since the new release on iOS they had to go a different route with coding their game. C++ is the next, extremely complicated, best thing. They had to make the transition to a new coding language because Java doesn't work with iOS.

Say WHAT!!!!???!!!!

Modern Warfare 3 was released on Tuesday November 8th, 2011. On that day alone it has reached the biggest launch......well EVER!!!

Yes that is right people EVER!!! 6.5 million copies sold in less than 24 hours, now that is one amazing accomplishment for Infinity Ward, Activision, and Sledgehammer games. Although this is Sledgehammers 1st huge debut in gaming they did a great job in conquering the heights of this game with a great team such as Infinity Ward.

Ok back to something we all love to talk about MONEY! Well we will start with Modern Warfare 2 cashing in $90 million 1st day of their sales, Black Ops raked in about $40 million and last, but obviously not least by making a killing with $400 million only a few days ago! That is more than a whole village of people would make in their entire life! Take that James Cameron! To also give you guys another "big eye" stare at the computer screen this is only two regions in the world, the US and UK.

I personally was a part of these sales and numbers that they received, but I am an all around gamer and constantly get games. Although they made a killing with their sales they are still having a ton of complaints by gamers all across the world! Many people have already claimed to take the game back, but Activision loses no money nor sleep from the unsatisfied gamers. Activision is a huge part of the gaming world from the Tony Hawk franchise to Guitar Hero. They will always be making these powerful moves and as long the name Call of Duty is on it, that is a easy million right there!


You guys decide are these numbers too outrageous for a video game and for the gamers out there what game to you think should take the title for Game of the Year, GOTY?

Greatest/Worse Tease of All Time!

The Razer Switchblade had the potential of being one of the best, if not the best, portable gaming device(s) known to man! Unfortunately it was only a concept. Razer made this concept and presented this tiny laptop so small it is classified either a tablet or handheld gaming device. The device was presented at this years CES, and blew everyone's mind there waiting for Razer's huge announcement. Although, Toshiba released a mini gaming laptop that had basically the same type of interface as the Switchblade they actually hit shelves earlier this year. If you are interested about their model look up Toshiba Libretto W105. It is pretty nice as well, but not better than Razer's Switchblade!

As you guys can see the design is gorgeous! Well beyond gorgeous to me! I heard about this device from a good tech savvy buddy of mine and he showed me the video of what was teased to be an upcoming device from Razer. It is a 7-inch pocket gaming device that literally fits in the palm of your hand like no other! The main problem that Razer had in the developing of this hardware is getting the mouse capability without a track pad. Problem solved when they integrated a multitouch screen. Of course you can still add a mouse if you really wanted to. They didn't leave without that decision completely to them, just a nice sleek design they intended on having.

The keyboard is actually probably one of my favorite part and impressive aspects of the design. Razer used another LCD screen have a focus on changing in different gaming scenarios. For example, if you were playing World of Warcraft, the keys would change to fit either that gaming style or to show the spells and moves that you can perform. It is basically getting the gamer more involved to what they are playing, or to just say my mini computer can do that and yours can't! Who wouldn't that type of technology that close to their finger tips?

Sorry for the constant post people, I have been behind on some of my post!


I have some juicy news for you guys today if you haven't already heard the upcoming game Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is coming out and is sure to have a lot of people lining to get it! Well in Fresno, California, the city of my high school, a disc has been stolen in a shipping warehouse. Although, it was only one disc for the PC version that by itself is a very huge deal!


This version of the disc has been pirating online since yesterday, but Activision has been working really hard to find the people who have played this leaked version of MW3. One person who got caught said they got fined $5,000 and he is permanently banned from online play. In the gaming community being banned from a highly anticipated video game such as this one is like taking a piece of your soul and flushing it down the toilet.


An ad on Craigslist.com state "Do not buy MW3 before release date. They will come get you."I know personally I am not scared for myself because I am patient enough to actually wait for this game and I don't play PC Call of Duty's. Those are extremely weird to me personally. I am mroe of a PS3 person who loves the fact of having a controller and 55 inch television to play it on.


If any of you guys are even thinking about looking for this leaked game play, please don't just wait for the actually copy of the game to release on November 8th, 2011. that is basically next Tuesday! It is going to be worth the wait my fellow gamers! 

Apple Patents "Slide to unlock"

Apple seriously? Come on now!

What exactly are you trying to prove here that you are different from Android and that you guys can be "dicks"? That was personally unnecessary, you guys didn't have to patent that everyone knows that "slide to unlock" is an iPhone thing. Waste of time Apple. You guys should be making amends with Flash so we can actually surf the web on our mobile device without getting rerouted to another version of that site or not being able to see that site at all.

They applied for this patent in 2009, but I personally feel like that they shouldn't have done this because that isn't important. Why does Apple feel like this is important? Are they trying to be extremely different to the point where no can officially copy a sliding effect without going through a lawsuit?

Their reason for doing this is because they felt like their mobile competition was stealing their ideas of development. So the patent was in order to save their ideas and product from infringement. Well they have done it now,  although, I feel like it wasn't necessary in a way, but I sort of understand why. If I had a company like so I would want to lock my shit down too!

Dick move and a waste of complete time, but understandable.

PS Vita...The Hype!

The hype that was created by Sony at this years E3. They introduced the new version of the PSP or PS Vita. Vita means "life" according to Sony; on the other hand I will be talking about the technical hype for the upcoming handheld.

The Vita is running a insanely powerful processor, Cortex A9. This basically means that when your are cross chatting without any lags or glitches in your game or the other persons game. Cross chatting is speaking to someone who is either playing the same game but a different match or someone in a completely different game speaking to you. Vita has a 5 inch multitouch screen which was extremely smart on Sony's part for including that. I know that our "present future" that we live in everything is basically multitouch screen now from phones to computer screens. They included this feature so that you can basically be more personal thrill from playing these games. A rear touch pad is to keep the gamer more entertained and to also make the gamer feel like they are more interactive with the character that they are playing as. Both front and rear cameras are on the handheld for taking pictures, recording videos, and video chat. If that wasn't enough to hype of the Vita for you, how about GPS navigation system? Some might think that this isn't necessary, but I personal think it is both necessary and a good idea. Let me put a quick scenario in your guy's head; you can connect with your friends a lot faster where ever you are. It is fast, easy and simple.

I know it seems like I am marketing the hell out of this product, but I just want you to understand what the hype is about on a technically level instead of on a consumer level. Basically put the nerd and geek in you all! MUHAHHAHHAHHAHA kidding. At E3 2011 this was Sony's most anticipated conference, well this and the apology. I will be talking about the apology that was kinda sincere and kinda bull shit.

Brief history of this beautiful website well they started off only about videogames, now it is a full on entertainment site. Giving the latest news on technology, TV, chicks, important technical people, and of course keep you updated on the latest gaming!

The site aesthetics is well laid out to me! You get to right where you want to when you want to! It has a highly sophisticated navigation starting with the hottest gaming consoles of 2011. It is also interesting that it has articles of all the latest things in the technical world. See it as the cooler version of the Huffington Post. Way cooler! LOL Also while looking at this site notice what catches your eyes 1st and that should be your main navigation of the site.

iPhone 4S...Do really need another?

To answer my question 1st off yes we do! I will tell you why after a few things of which why 4S is still a good idea! The 4S processor smashes with blazing speeds, A5 is the processor that is used in the iPad 2 as well. The camera is way better with 3 more megapixels which means 8 megapixels. A lot of people say that the camera doesn't really matter, but having a lot of apps like Instagram and Hipstamatic makes user want to use their camera a lot more often. Taking pictures is starting to say a lot more than updating a Facebook status or tweeting.

Now to explain my answer for my question; it is necessary for us to have this 2nd series of the iPhone 4 because the people that have an iPhone 4, already were so excited about the iPhone 5 rumors they were to break their contract to pay the full price for that phone. Apple did this exact same thing with iPhone 3G. Apple can get very money hungry I would agree with that but when it comes to their customers and what is fair and what is not they are good at choosing the fair route. When the iPhone 3GS came out they didn't want anyone with the iPhone 3G to break contract just yet, but what they did want is for the people who either haven't experienced the 3G yet. Well now that those people could with a little advantage and enhanced operating system (OS) they could experience the hype and power of an iPhone. Apple is recurring that same dream for people that still have either the 3GS or that want to get an iPhone in general now that they can with some slight adjustments and upgrades. They can go home happy!

BioShock Infinite

This video that is presented to you is the 10-Minute Demo for BioShock Infinite. The game is about a detective, Booker DeWitt, set out to save this lady named Elizabeth, in a hovering city named Columbia. The year is 1912 so no future just pure past! Elizabeth is held hostage by this bird like creature that goes by the name of Him. It is a love hate relationship between Elizabeth and Him; that is her only friend, father, caretaker, and enemy. It is as if this is a story of Rapunzel in some type of off the wall game! Elizabeth has these superficial powers that make her even more powerful and maybe the reason why Him wants to hang on to Elizabeth. In the city of Columbia it is obviously something very wrong with the people that are in the city you will see things that are going to be quite shocking with some of the Artificial Intelligence, AI, that is presented. The reason I speak of this game is because it ties back into my last post of gaming and social life; although, this game isn't out until March of next year and it already has almost all of my devoted attention that it deserves!

This game is probably going to take a nice chunk out of my everyday life when it hits the stores by storms In March 2012. I know for a fact I can't wait for this damn game! No word on multiplayer yet, but I wouldn't mind if this game didn't have that type of access to the online world.

I don't have too much to say because I actually want this to be a discussion on the video and what you guys actually get out of watching it. Now it does have age barrier so just sign in to YouTube if you have an account, if not, just make one you lazy bums! Lawlz! When watching the video reflect off these questions; how is the imagery to you? Does this demo get you excited for the game? A lot of people aren't into First Person Shooters, instead of looking at it like a "shoot 'em up" how else would you view this game based on the storyline? If you are familiar with the BioShock franchise then let me ask you what is different from this game than in the others? Also, if you get a creepy vibe from what is the main reason for this vibe creep? Remember it is a demo so it doesn't make any sense so far.

This game won't be available to play until March 2012! I hope you guys enjoy this video as much as I do! Let's make this an epic discussion. More than 4 people would be awesome!

Gaming and Social Life

What the hell has gaming done to my social life?!? Well honestly in my opinion I think it has made it so much better! Some might say that we gamer's are always staying inside not getting any physical activity, meeting people, or eating healthy foods .

It is one thing that is true "we" don't get a lot of physical activity, but it is millions of us! "We" are all different groups of people; some work out, some don't, some eat healthy, some eat junky (most). I know that a stereotype for a gamer is that "we" always eat nothing but junk which is very true, but does that take our social life away? No. As a gamer I feel like "we" have a lot more leverage when it comes to being social!

"We" have conferences that are specially advocated by gamer's and designed for gamer's. I personally am consider to be a very sociable person. I attend some of the conferences to meet these people that I either play with online or that I either follow on Twitter or Facebook. The community for gaming has grown tremendously from the 80s! I do take it very offensive when somebody wants to talk about gamer's in a negative manner because I am one of those people! Understand that "we" do it better!
